Frequently Asked Questions & Expert Tips

What should I do if I don’t have an herb grinder?

If you don’t have an herb grinder you can mix everything together by hand, use a mortal and pestle, or try using a small food chopper. We suggest chopping up some of the larger dried herbs, such as rosemary, so that the finer herbs don’t sink and separate from the others.

How long is homemade poultry seasoning good for and how do you store it?

Homemade poultry seasoning can be stored in an air-tight glass jar kept in a cool, dark place for 1-2 years. Once the blend is no longer fragrant, its shelf time has reached its limit. Glass is preferable over plastic for storing spices as it isn’t porous.
